Liz Devall

Liz was born and raised in Bellevue, WA. She graduated from Bellevue High School and the University of Utah in composition and performance. She has been teaching since 1991.
At Bellevue High she accompanied the choirs and vocalists for state competitions. Following High School Liz played for the grand openings of Bellevue Square and the Winter Garden at the Hyatt. Additionally she has played for many Christmas parties, private events, country clubs, weddings, and wrote a jingle for University Ford, Seattle.
In college, Liz had her own Jazz combos the “Liz Devall Trio”, “Take Three”, and the “Five O’clock Break.” She participated in numerous concerts, jazz clinics, public events, and was hired to play private parties through out Salt Lake City. Additionally, she jammed with Wynton Marsalis, filled in as a performance substitute for professors, accompanied many vocalists, wrote a CD and tutored composition students.
Liz is a member of the National Music Teacher’s Association (NMTA), the Washington State Music Teacher’s Association (WSMTA), and the Eastside Chapter.
