Chris Davis Christopher Davis was first introduced to Northwest Pianos in 2009 when he was invited to perform Rachmaninoff's Sonata #2 in celebration of the composer's birthday. Davis began lessons at age 5 and as a teenager was selected to perform at the annual Washington State Music Teacher's Association annual conference and also participated in the 3-week intensive Piano Performance Institute at Pacific Lutheran University. Davis began his proffesional career as the staff accompanist at Portland Community College at age 19 and was the recipient of the grand prize in Oregon's Mu Phi Epsilon annual scholarship competition. Upon entering Western Washington University Davis was awarded a full tuition scholarship based on academics and the entrance audition. While attending WWU Davis was hired by the theater department during the 2004 Summerstock season and toured with a traveling show performing musical theater works. Davis performed in master classes for notable recording artists such as Igor Kipnis, Jane Coop, Stephen Drury and Frederic Chiu among others. More recently Davis has recieved his Masters of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Washington and participated in the Icicle Creek Piano Festival in Leavenworth, WA and the Portland International Piano Festival.
